Scheduled outage of Library System

On Sunday 3 July from 2am - 2pm the Library system will be unavailable while work is completed by our vendor. Find out how this affects your access to Library resources and plan ahead.

During the service interruptions you will be unable to:

• access Library Search to browse, search for books and articles or place requests
• view your current loans, pending requests or fines in My Account
• place Inter-Library loans
• use Full Text Finder  - to check for full text via Swinburne Library
• loan any print books or DVDs via self-service kiosk

Q. How do I access ebooks and articles during the outage?

A. Our A-Z list of databases can take you directly into online Library resource by subject area.
You can search for specific types of resources in our major ebook, newspaper or video collections

Q. Will I be able to access my Library account during the outage?

A. You will not be able to sign into Library Search to access your library account details. Your loans, requests, saved searches and collection will be retained.

Q. Will I be able to use the link to find full text via Swinburne Library?

A. The Full Text Finder  link will not be working during this scheduled outage

Q. Will links to Library resources from Canvas work?

A. Links in Canvas to Library Search will not work but direct links to library resources will work as normal.

Q. Can I borrow print books or DVDs

A. Print book and DVDs cannot be loaned during the scheduled outage.

Q. Will this impact Endnote?

A. The Find Full Text function will not work during the scheduled outage.
